BACKGROUND: I joined Sonki Fitness Boot Camp a year ago when I was getting ready for my wedding. I was having trouble getting in shape on my own and gave it a try. I have signed up for every session since. Recently I was able to run the mile in just under 9 minutes; something I had never been able to do. I was beyond excited when I went shopping last month and was able to buy pants that were a size smaller. I am seeing all kinds of results in my strength and self-confidence.

What is your current exercise routine? Sonki Fitness 3 days a week, gym 1 day (on a good week).

What is your motivation to stay in shape? My motivation to stay in shape is really the energy that comes with it. It keeps me happy and active. I am much more likely to ride a bike, hike, or take a long walk.

What is your greatest challenge to staying in shape?  Showing up!

What is your key to success? Group accountability is key. I know if I don’t show up on Monday, my friends will notice and hold me to my commitment. The camaraderie at Sonki Fitness keeps me going!

What do you like about Sonki Fitness Boot Camp and how has it affected your life? I love the challenging workouts that the Sonki Fitness Boot Camp class provides. What my Sonki Fitness trainer Eve asks us to do is more than I would push myself to do alone. I know I am getting a high quality, balanced workouts that will keep me strong and healthy. It’s been a great way to wind down my days and provide me with a better work/life balance.

What advice would you give to others about fitness? Show up, have fun, and stay healthy!
