ABOUT
MIKE
Mike has
been involved in sports his entire life. From little league baseball and
soccer, to becoming an A racquetball player at the age of 13, Mike
has always excelled at everything athletic. At the
age of 15, he found his true passion and transitioned to
volleyball. After his All-American senior year in high school, he
received a scholarship to UCSB, and later
transferred to UCLA.
Mike played
for the UCLA 1993 National Championship team, was the star of the Bud
Light 4-Man Pro Beach Volleyball Tour, a standout on the AVP, and
played professionally overseas for 15 years in 22
countries. Now, after three consecutive
championships AND three consecutive League MVP honors in Greece, Mike
has retired from professional competition and is
dedicating his time to athletic training, coaching,
and Sonki Fitness boot camps. He is NASM, EFTI, and CPR certified.
Mike holds
the record for the longest indoor professional volleyball career, and
attributes this to his work ethic, pursuit of advanced training, and
dedication to success. Mike’s motto corresponds to
the “Wedding Crashers” Rule # 76 -- No excuses. Play like
