BACKGROUND:  I started Sonki Fitness 4 years ago to shed poundage before vacationing somewhere, but now it has become the most consistent workout I’ve been a part of. I once was certified as the worst runner ever. I absolutely hated to run. I can now happily say that through Sonki Fitness I now only mildly hate running and can run a bit of a distance with little to zero tears. I’m definitely happier and healthier since joining Sonki Fitness.

What is your current routine?  Sonki Fitness on MWF. The Office marathon on Monday’s. Hiking and weight training other times.

What is your motivation to stay in shape?  To be able to adequately run from danger.

What is your greatest challenge to staying in shape?  Staying consistent is difficult especially with time constraints and everything going on in life. Tacos and cake are also very challenging.

What is your key to success?  Finding workouts and activities that I enjoy doing. Trying my best to eat and drink like a normal human.

What do you like about Sonki Fitness and how has it affected your life?  I love the small group that I work out with at Sonki Fitness (SHOUT OUT TO PLAYA PM CLASS!!). Everyone is super cool, dope and supportive. The trainers I’ve worked with (Brianna, Eve, and Cara) are all amazing and have all been very encouraging, supportive and positive. And each of them hold me accountable without making me resent them ? . I enjoy that the workouts are outdoors and are always different and changing. For me, it’s a great way to relieve stress and anxiety from the work week.

What advice would you give to others about fitness?  Make living your best and healthiest life a priority. Move occasionally.
