HOBBIES:  I love getting out and enjoying life. Sharing food and drink with friends, dancing, playing tennis, hitting the beach, and laughing.

BACKGROUND:  I grew up in Sydney, Australia, where we were always outdoors, causing fun and trouble, and being super active. The attitude there was to try everything – so I was always playing sports, enjoying music, and making the best of every day. I love being part of life and having adventures. Working as a broadcaster and newscaster 14 years ago, I found my way to Beijing, China (which was amazing), before landing in Santa Monica eight years later. Working out and taking part in group fitness has always enabled me to live a fit, full life. I couldn’t imagine my days any other way and Sonki Fitness is just perfect!

What is your current exercise routine?  I do Sonki Fitness three mornings a week, play tennis 2-3 times a week, fit in a spin class or two and go for a hike/walks. I also play pickleball and beach tennis with friends.

What is your motivation to stay in shape?  For me it’s a lifestyle. Growing up in Australia, I have always been super active and love being outdoors and trying new activities and sports. My family is the same, and our vacations always included the beach, water-skiing, tennis, body-surfing, walking, etc. My motivation is simple – it’s my way of life.

What is your key to success?  Every day is a new day. Each day that I wake up, I genuinely feel lucky to be where I am. I love embracing new challenges and always try to find solutions, not see problems.

What do you like about Sonki Fitness Boot Camp and how has it affected your life?  I love the routine of waking up early and joining a fabulous group of people first thing in the morning. Exercising overlooking Santa Monica beach is breathtaking, and being around like-minded friends makes me feel amazing each and every time.

What advice would you give to others about fitness?  To simply make it part of who you are. We are lucky to be able to workout in a gorgeous environment with a diverse group of people – find your happy place, rinse and repeat.
