BACKGROUND:  I was introduced to Sonki Fitness through a corporate training session. During the pandemic, I helped recruit and form a group for Sonki Fitness South Bay classes. Although I enjoyed the South Bay classes, the allure and mystic of the beach and ocean views brought me back to Santa Monica.

What is your current exercise routine?  Sonki Fitness Boot Camp 3x a week (or Sonki’s YouTube videos).

What is your motivation to stay in shape?  To be healthy, stay mentally fit and have fun.

What is your greatest challenge to staying in shape?  The greatest challenge is finding the time to work out while working full time and shuttling my kids back and forth between school and activities. Having the opportunity to attend Sonki’s boot camp is a mental break and a vacation for me!

What is your key to success?  Combining famous sushi chain and sport brand mottos, “Don’t think, just do it!”

What do you like about Sonki Fitness Boot Camp and how has it affected your life?  What could be better than working out outdoors, enjoying the sunsets and the amazing company of Sonki Fitness’ 6:30pm class? I’ve been known to drive 15 miles on the interstate 405 to attend Sonki’s classes. Prior to joining Sonki Fitness, I tolerated running at best. As I continued to take Sonki Fitness classes, I was shocked and pleasantly surprised that I was able to push past my perceived limits. Now, I actually look forward to running!

What advice would you give to others about fitness?  Show up. Keep trying. Find a fitness activity that you enjoy. Bring a friend.
