HOBBIES: Snowboarding, wakeboarding, sky skiing (really any water sports), and basketball.

BACKGROUND: I grew up playing sports, and that has always been my exercise. Once I graduated from college, I had trouble motivating myself to work out. I was a Kinesiology major so I know how important fitness is, but I have never really enjoyed going to the gym. In August, a friend got me to sign up for Sonki Fitness with her to get a jump start on working out again and get us into a routine. I have been hooked ever since!

What is your current exercise routine? Sonki Fitness 3 – 4 times a week. Sometimes more.

What is your motivation to stay in shape? The way it makes me feel and the results that I have seen. The first couple of 5-week sessions that I did with Sonki Fitness, when there was a week off in between, I would actually take that week off and not work out. I realized how quickly my 5 weeks of hard work went down the drain when I didn’t work out during the week off, which keeps me motivated to stay in shape.

What is your greatest challenge to staying in shape? Motivating myself and getting out of bed in the morning.

What is your key to success? Always pushing and challenging myself. Also, being dedicated and trying not to miss any classes.

What do you like about Sonki Fitness Boot Camp and how has it affected your life? The trainers and the people in the classes are amazing. They challenge and encourage me. It is nice having people to hold you accountable if you miss a class ;).  I also love that it is outside, and no class is ever the same.

What advice would you give to others about fitness? Make it fun! You should look forward to exercising instead of dreading it.
