BACKGROUND:  I was never a great athlete but have always loved to work out. I love feeling strong and the mental health benefits consistent exercise gives me. I like everything – swimming, running, crossfit, calisthenics, HIIT, endurance training, yoga, etc. I tore my ACL right before getting pregnant and found myself very immobile for over a year which definitely took its toll. I had my baby 7 months ago and my ACL surgery 5 months ago and was just cleared to start doing short jogs again!

What is your current exercise routine?  Physical Therapy for my knee which includes weight lifting, yoga, light running, and a variety of quad and glute strengthening. I’m very committed as I am planning to run my first half marathon on my daughter’s first birthday in March! =]

What is your motivation to stay in shape?  My hubs, my daughter, my career, but most of all the way it makes me feel!

What is your greatest challenge to staying in shape?  Injuries and time.

What is your key to success?  I have a good why

What do you like about Sonki Fitness Boot Camp and how has it affected your life?  I like that this is a lifestyle. The workouts are aimed to help people with vitality and longevity, not just looking sexy (which they also do, fortunately). Sonki Fitness has given me a sense of community and also pushes me outside of my comfort zone, asking me to go beyond my limits and to become more mentally tough than I think I can be. Once I’ve gotten in my workout I feel ready to take on any challenges the day can bring, and it gives me energy to tackle an audition, work on re-writes, change diapers, and manage my employees. I also love seeing people build confidence in class that they take out into the world.

What advice would you give to others about fitness?  Consistency is key. It doesn’t matter what you do, just do something!

Any other comments?  LOVE YOU SONKI! =]
