BACKGROUND:  I started with Sonki Fitness 16 years ago and went on the first Sonki Fitness Vacation to Hawaii. It was awesome. Sonki really taught me how to make exercise fun and that it’s not just about cardio. Strength training and core training are so important to prevent injuries and see results! I’ve come a long way since then with his guidance and motivational tips. I went on another Sonki Fitness vacation, and it was amazing as well. It’s such a great feeling to return from a vacation feeling more fit than before I left! I’m stronger now than ever.

What is your current exercise routine?  Unfortunately, I don’t live in Santa Monica anymore, so I’m no longer able to do Sonki Fitness. So currently, I do 30 min HIIT or full body workouts 3 days a week and cardio stairs or hiking 3 days a week.

What is your motivation to stay in shape?  To feel and look my best now and long term.

What is your greatest challenge to staying in shape?  The beaches, hiking trails, and gym closures over recent months have made things a bit more challenging.

What is your key to success?

  1. Eating to fuel my body properly to gain lean muscle, keep my body fat low, and feel my best!
  2. Consistency
  3. Including high intensity efficient and effective workouts in my routine.
  4. Mixing up my workouts to avoid boredom.
  5. Keeping my workouts to under one hour to avoid “burnout.”

What do you like about Sonki Fitness Boot Camp and how has it affected your life?  I love that it incorporates all aspects of fitness in a beautiful outdoor setting, and the workouts are high energy and fun!

What advice would you give to others about fitness?  Work with a dietitian, like myself, to make sure you’re eating to fuel your body properly.

Any other comments?  I’ve been a Registered Dietitian for 23 years and own my private practice Kitchen Coach in Beverly Hills where I specialize in weight management and digestive health.
